THE QUIET GIRL COLLECTIVE

The Quiet Girl Collective is an arts production company based in Wilmington, NC. We aim to make art that gives a voice to the seemingly voiceless. Women are often told they have nothing to say or are led to believe their ideas aren’t as important as their male counterparts but that does not mean we cannot speak up, literally or creatively.

CURRENT PROJECT:

For Your Future Wife is a dramatic short film that follows the aftermath of the end of a relationship. A young man moves on experiencing and achieving all of life’s milestones whereas a woman is processing and coming to terms with what exactly happened to her. This is brought to her attention when she is unable to truthfully fill out routine paperwork in a doctor’s office. This film was inspired by true events and real voicemails that document the grey area of abuse that is not often talked about. 

Our mission is to help shine light on stories of abuse and consequential ptsd, this film hopes to reach an audience of survivors and allies with a message of hope and resilience.
